Top Texas Aussies

Today I was at the feed store and picked up some dried pigs ears. For those who don't know, they are dried out like a raw hide bone. I brought them home and into the house. It didn't take the whole gang of dogs long to figure out that Mom had some kind of treat that the just needed to have. Cash (our black lab) tracked the bag all the way into the house. I bought the pigs ears for the puppies to chew on. Lately they think my fingers and hands are chew toys. At this stage in their short lives they have the most sharp teeth! I needed a distraction for them.

Some how I ended up with an extra one so I gave it to Cash. I think he must have swallowed the thing whole because 30 minutes later it was no where to be found! I took the rest of the ears up to the puppies. I know they were waiting to chew on my fingers again I could see it in their eyes! I pulled out the ears and gave it to each puppy. At first they were not impressed with them, but after I got them to chew on the edge a bit it was PUPPY HEAVEN!! The rolled with them, played tug-of-war with them, burried them and brought them over to show me. I left them to their chewing.

I went back out to check on them a few hours later. There was a puppy in each cornner knawing on an ear with a BIG smile on each face.
