Top Texas Aussies

I was out doing chores the other day (a common thing here) and the dogs were messing around as dogs do when all of a sudden Topaz takes off like a shot. Running as fast as she can toward the barn and creek she quickly vanished. She often does this activity usualy upon seeing a rabbit or something down there. What was funny this time is she took off and Clemie and Val didn't exactly see where she was going. So the two of them are standing there looking around franticly for Topaz who has long since vanished. They look at me as if to say well where did she go? I don't speak dog but I know that is what they were asking me. I, in my best dog said She went to the creek girls. They just stared at me as if I was speaking a foriegn language (which to them I guess it was) and then they would look toward the creek and see if they could find her. After a while they gave up and just went back to laying in the sun soaking up warmth. Topaz came back a few minutes later looked at them and then me as if to say "Hey why didn't you catch up with me?" I had no answer for her, Clemie and Val did look a little sheepish (or dogish...) but then went back to sunning. Topaz floped down sighed and went to sleep only to wake up a few minutes later and start the whole thing over again. Hmm I wonder if they do it to drive me crazy??? You never know...
